I moved to Eugene, Oregon from Santa Cruz, California January 2010 in order to start a new adventure and be near a sick relative.  The previous fall I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Modern English Literature.  During my time in college, I volunteered for and ultimately worked at the Santa Cruz SPCA, which I found very fulfilling.

My two passions are literature and animals, especially dogs.  Those interests, and a quirky sense of humor, are probably why I love Groucho Marx's saying: “Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it is too dark to read.”

I love that Spot combines my interests and is so accessible yet educational.  Plus Spot works to better the lives of animals, which is so important to me.
