Interested in volunteering your time, skills, and talents to help cats and kittens? Attend a Volunteer Orientation at our Sherwood Shelter to learn more! This session lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes information about the wide variety of volunteer opportunities CAT has to offer.

You do not need to RSVP. A link to the volunteer application will be provided at orientation. Parking available in the shelter parking lot; ample street parking also available.

Children must be at least 12 years old to volunteer; volunteers under 16 years old must volunteer alongside a parent/guardian during every shift.

100% of our Net Proceeds goes to the Oregon Humane Society

Our goal is to raise funds for the Oregon Humane Society so, we encourage a $10 donation to OHS at sign in.

Sign-in at the OHS tent so we can get an official Corgi and Human count and drop off your donation to Oregon Humane Society! Then shop at the merchandise area to get your Corgi gifts, raffle tickets, and/or bid on the silent action items. Rose Festival Canine Court

Dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds are invited to put their best paw forward for the 2019 Portland Rose Festival Canine Court. Six dogs will be honored as the official Canine Court, including two lucky dogs being crowned as the King/Queen of the Canine Court. All six dogs will be invited to ride on a float (or walk alongside it) at the Rose Festival Starlight Parade.

Bottle Baby Kitten Class

As spring approaches, so does kitten season! The Bottle Baby Kitten class at Greenhill will teach participants how to properly care for and feed bottle baby kittens. Bottle baby kittens are unweaned kittens whose mother is not around or able to care for the kittens. These babies will require extra care, including bottle feeding. This class is Saturday, May 11th from 11am-12:30pm. 

The class is free and is open to foster families, Greenhill volunteers and the public. Space is limited and classes fill up fast so registration is required. To register, call 541-689-1503 ext. 114 or 116, or email foster@green-hill.org.

This is a fundraiser for the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon

Get ready to boogie for the cats!

You can be a part of this fun, 70's-themed event and turn good vibes into fab funding for spaying/neutering feral, stray, and pet cats! This Furball will feature live and silent auctions with art, getaways, awesome items for cats, and more. Of course there will be some dancing under the disco ball and we'll have a special dance performance by The Viscount Dance Studio. So try on your best polyester suit, crank up the Bee Gees on your 8-track player, and get ready for Caturday Night Fever!

Matt Zaffino, Chief Meteorologist at KGW-TV and one of the coolest cats we know, is back as our Emcee. Our Honorary Chair is Russ Rosner, a feral cat caregiver and part of the Sokol Blosser Winery family. We can dig it.

Greyhound Pet Adoption NW at OSU Pet Day Celebration

Oregon State University’s Pet Day Celebration for 2018 is 
slated for Saturday, May 4th from 10AM – 3PM.

This year, Pet Day will be located at 30th & Washington just west of the Merritt Truax Indoor Center on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis. As usual, Greyhound Pet Adoption – Northwest will have a booth, along with some greyt adoptable Greyhounds. The event is free, though some activities (pony rides, dog wash) will have a nominal fee. Pet Day is a family-oriented, pet-friendly event where the public can meet and interact with a variety of animal interest groups.  Activities include agility demonstrations, fun run/walk (with or without your pet), games, food, demonstrations, llamas, goats, ponies and dogs, dogs, dogs! 

Last year nearly 3,000 folks attended, so this is a greyt chance to educate folks about the joys of life with a Greyhound, as well as a chance to show off your pooch! Yes, leashed dogs are welcome throughout the grounds, though they are not allowed at the indoor exhibits.

Come celebrate the human-animal bond! 

Free parking is available across the street in the Reser Stadium lot.

Annual Plant and Vegan Bake Sale for House of Dreams

Plant Sale: We will have indoor and outdoor plants for sale, as well as decorative pots, garden art, and House of Dreams merchandise (including cat toys!).

Vegan Bake Sale: Our bake sale is held as part of the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale event.

  • We are currently looking for bakers, so please email Ellie & Tyler at etwaymer@gmail.com if you'd like to donate vegan baked goods. Vegan items should include an ingredient list, and be dairy/milk/butter-free, egg-free, and honey-free.

As always, all proceeds go to support the kitties at House of Dreams. While we happily accept cards, we do make more money for the kitties with cash or checks (no transaction fees)

Bunny Spa Day & Ask-The-Rabbit-Experts

  - Who:   Rabbit Advocates, a Portland-area group devoted to the 
welfare of domestic rabbits.

  - What:  We offer free nail trims and light grooming for pet rabbits 
that the public brings to us (donation appreciated).  We provide free 
tips and educational materials on caring for and enjoying house 
rabbits.  Members are available to chat with visitors about adopting 
adorable, lovable rabbits as companion pets to inside homes.  All 
adoptable rabbits are spayed and neutered.

Note: People bringing rabbits for grooming and nail trims should bring 
their own grooming tools if possible. Please try to arrive before 2:30pm 
to ensure pawdicures for everybunn.

- When:   Second Sunday of each month from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

      - Cost: Free; however, donations are appreciated for bunny spa

Learn the basics of pet first aid so you’ll always be prepared in an emergency. This free, lecture-style community workshop also features an optional hands-on portion taught by DoveLewis’ professional veterinary staff.  Space is limited to 50 participants and classes do fill quickly.  Pets welcome in spirit only
