Meet Your 2011 Willamette Cover Model ~ Penny Love

Cover 10-11.jpeg

Name: Penny Love's middle name was chosen in honor of the day she was adopted - Valentine's Day.

Age: 2 years in December

Stomping Grounds: Lives in Eugene, loves to play at Splash Dog Park.

Turn-Ons: Loves to go shopping at PetSmart in Eugene and to ride in the car. Squeaky balls are a big fav, and Penny Love ESPECIALLY loves dirty socks (the dirtier the better).  Naturally, she loves anything to do with "Mommy."

Turn-Offs: There's not much Penny Love doesn't like...except taking baths, and when her sister gets more attention than she does.

KaitlynSpecial Notes: Penny came from a backyard breeder and so was under socialized.  After lots of TLC from her new family she quickly bloomed into her happy loving self.

Two-year old Kaitlyn of Springfield did the honors this year, drawing the winner of the Willamette Valley Cover Model Search.  Great job Kaitlyn and thank you!

Considering a ferret?

The three Cover Model ferrets featured in the Cover Model Search are all available for adoption.  They are in the care of the Lane Area Ferret Shelter and Rescue (FSR) in Eugene, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and sheltering abandoned, abused and unwanted ferrets, and to educating the public about the domestic ferret.  The only shelter of its kind in Lane County, FSR also serves Southern Oregon and Northern California, providing shelter, food, medical care, socialization, adoption opportunities and lots and lots of love.

The second Sunday every September FSR hosts a Ferret Agility Trials, featuring midway games for people, and ferret medal games such as the Cup Tip, Yawning Contest, Strongest Ferret, Paper Bag Escape, and the Tube Run.
